Father’s Day  Walk & Memorial 2016

9:00am walk begins

On Sunday, June 19th, The Kids of America and the U. S. Kids Chamber are co-hosting a Father’s Day Walk to promote Fathers and their last duty station. We are remembering the men who served our country as well men general in our community. The walk begins at the Sears at the UTC- Westfield Mall and takes participants to the National Cemetery at Miramar were a ceremony will be held and then to lay roses on the markers of the men who still serve our country eternally.

This is the fourth year hosting this event and the second walk to the National Cemetery. Our inaugural event was staged at Coronado as an outlet for military kids to be with each other on Father’s Day when their dads were deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Kids of America’s mission is bringing awareness to our youth of environmental, physical, and economic responsibility.

Activities include: shopping for Dad at Sears, Free electronic recycling event at Curie Elementary, live Music, games, U.S. Kids Chamber “passport to success memberships”

The event benefits the U. S. Kids Chamber of Commerce and The Kids of America
